I normally go home once a month, sometimes twice, but this month of September has been different. With school back in session and crazy work days, I find myself staying in my neighborhood more often than usual. Weekends in the Marina are my favorite, but staying in the Mission has really made me appreciate my own district.
My best friend Fino and I normally walk a couple of blocks around the neighborhood for our traditional brunch date on Sundays. Sometimes it’s the usual walk to Dolores Park Cafe, but this time we took a walk down Alabama Street, headed over to Atlas Cafe and found some pretty houses on the way.
I guess the one thing that gets me about this district is the fact that it’s walkable. I’ve only lived here for a couple of months and I find myself taking Muni less! And with the good weather, it’s easy to tell yourself to walk and enjoy the sun.
As many of you may know, I’m slowly easing into this whole “style post” thing here on the elle tee. When dressing up for this usual Sunday brunch, I normally just wear a dress but this time, I thought that this fun polka dot top from Old Navy would be fun to wear by itself. It was funny because when Fino saw me, he said, “You’re not wearing a cardigan!” Yup, I took a risk this past weekend.
And I want to THANK my parents for surprising me with these Sam Edelman flats for my birthday! I was so stoked! I LOVE YOU BOTH!
I love my classics and will never let go. It’s just my personal style, ya know?
